Beware Bad Advice, Seek True Light
Too many voices, not enough light. That’s the tension we dig into as we explore how to tell the difference between advice that sounds good and guidance that is actually good. We start with a straight test: if counsel doesn’t align with Scripture, pause. The Bible isn’t a grab bag of quotes for hard days; it’s a trustworthy book of instructions that reveals a path through real problems.
Here on Soul Food Podcast, Motivational Mondays with Bishop Joshua. Heide, you need to be very careful with your advisors. Those who advise you, if this advice does not come from the Bible, from the word of God, you need to think twice. Because the Bible is the best advisor teacher. Yes, this is the book of instructions. Whatever you need is written over here. And the scripture says we are reading the book of Isaiah. The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light. Those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death upon them light, a light has shined. Let Jesus shine upon your finances, upon your love of life, upon your family, upon your business, your career, your future. Do not walk in darkness. Don't go with the people who walk in darkness. As they say, show me your friends. I'll tell you who you are. If you are walking with people that go to darkness, you are going to be in darkness as well. But the light of God, that is Jesus, when it says a light has shined. This light at the bottom, you see there, upon them, a light has shined. This light is Jesus. Maybe you are walking in darkness, the shadow of death. The light of Jesus will shine upon your life. Right now, where you are, just after this message, you can raise your hands, lift your eyes up to heaven, and call his name. Call upon his name. The light will shine upon your life.
