We take a hard, hopeful look at eternal life through the lens of Luke 16 and the story of the rich man and Lazarus—one clothed in purple and comfort, the other poor and named by God. Here on the Stole Food Podcast. The world is passing away. Our clock is ticking, and for that reason, nothing is of more importance than eternal life. This is the moment of salvation.

SPEAKER_00:

May the God of the Bible bless your life. Moment of salvation. And when we talk about salvation, we are talking about your soul. In this series this collection about salvation, we spoke about heaven. We also spoke about hell. And we spoke about the value of the soul. So what I mean say here today is about the salvation, eternal life. And when we talk about salvation, Jesus spoke about hell, about salvation, and about the soul. And over there, the book of Luke, Luke chapter 16, we have the message of Jesus about the rich man and Lazarus. Lazarus was a beggar. The rich man, we don't know his name, but for sure, he was well known in his days, in his society. Because the rich people they are well known, they become celebrities. But Lazarus was a beggar. Jesus mentioned in the Bible the name of Lazarus. But the name of the rich man we do not know. Why? Because his name was not written in the book of life. He did not receive a new name. Lazarus was a beggar, but he believed in the God of Abraham. He gave his life to God, and God saved his soul. Now the scripture says. So it was that the beggar died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torment, in hate, that is hell, he lifted up his eyes, and he saw Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom. And the rich man was in hell. Which means that rich people can also go to heaven. It depends on how you live your life on earth and to whom you gave or you have given your life. I am sure that the rich man found many daggers and the poor in hell as well. It's not about your society, the class, the wealth, the poorest, the miserable. No, it's about the soul. Once you give your soul, your life to the Lord, he saves you. Regardless if you are famous, known, unknown, rich or poor. Lazarus gave his life. And when he died, the angels came to carry his soul, to collect his soul. Because once Apostles gives the life to Jesus, whether you live or you die, the angels of heaven will come to take your soul. If you do not receive salvation, then you end up in hell. But let us read next. And he cried out and said, Father Abraham, have mercy on me. And send Lazarus that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in this flame. That's right, he was tormented. He was inside of hell in flames because he did not give his life to God. When he said Father Abraham, he knew the story, he knew about Abraham's devotion and salvation, but he did not turn his life to him. I want you to watch this video because today we are here to pray for salvation. After this video, I'll tell you what to do to be saved.

There was a certain rich man who was clothed in purple and fine linen and fared sumptuously every day. But there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, full of sores, who was laid at his gate, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man's table. Moreover, the dogs came and licked his sores. So it was that the beggar died and was carried by the angels to Abraham's bosom. The rich man also died and was buried. And being in torments and hate, he lifted up his eyes and saw Abraham afar off. And Lazarus and his bosom. Then he cried instead, Father Abraham. Have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water and cool my tongue, for I am tormented in its flame. But Abraham said, Son, remember that in your lifetime, you received your good things, and likewise, Lazarus, evil things. But now he is comforted. And you are tormented. Besides all this, between us and you, there is a great gulf fixed, so that those who want to pass from here to you cannot, nor to those from there pass to us. Then he said, I beg you therefore, Father, that you extend him to my father's house, for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment. Abraham said to him, They have Moses and the prophets, let them hear them. He said, No, Father Abraham, but if one goes to them from the dead, they will repent. But he said to him, If they do not hear Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded through one rise from the dead. We can see that in the Bible, the rich man's name was not mentioned. But why? Because only those who consider the Lord here on earth exercise their faith, only these will be saved and will have their names written in the book of life and never be forgotten. But those who live in this world despising God do not consider him, they will not be remembered by God. The rich man did not consider the Abrahamic faith. He knew the word, he knew the footsteps of Abraham, so much so that in hell he cried out, O Father Abraham, but he despised the God of Abraham. So when he was cast into hell, his name was forgotten by God. God will never remember those who disregarded him on earth. Recognize the Lord Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and your name would never be forgotten. For those who honor me, I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed.

SPEAKER_00:

What to do to be saved? I will tell you in practical words: give, surrender your life to Jesus. Because if you give your life to him, in exchange, he's going to save your soul. Jesus came, died on the cross, and all that pain, suffering on the cross, was to save my soul to save yours. Usually people say, I accept Jesus as my savior. No, you don't need to accept Jesus. You need to give your life and yes, beg him to accept you. Because we are sinus, he is not. So we should not say, I will accept Jesus or I accept Jesus. No. But you need to give your life for real. And yes, the Lord is going to save you. Right now is the moment for the prayer.

SPEAKER_01:

Prayer connects us with God and is essential in our journey of salvation. This is now the moment of prayer.

SPEAKER_00:

Our Lord Jesus Christ came to save souls. Our Lord Jesus came only to save those who were lost. And there is Person pray with me right now that is lost. Perhaps in prison, in jail. Jesus was in the church and backslided. Jesus once had salvation, but lost the salvation. On the spirit, but right now we are praying. We are asking you to ask his lost soul. You saved Lazarus because he gave his life. And right now, this person himself, herself, will give their lives to you. Receive their souls into your kingdom. Oh my friend is right now, say your prayer. Right now, open your mouth and give your life to the Lord. And tell him, God, save me. Write my name in the book of life, because I give my life to you. Go ahead. Salvation comes by faith. And I know souls are being saved right now. Souls are being restored, rescued right now. Souls are being transformed right now. Oh yes, we believe. Oh Lord, I give you thanks in advance because yes, oh yes. I know you are transforming life. I know you are changing lives right now. You are changing lives around. You are transforming lives around. This is what we pray, Father God, in the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Amen. Praise God.

SPEAKER_04:

And I love that old cross where the dearest ends for world lost. So I see all too much room is a letter. And exchange someday for a crown.
