Invisible Friend

Bishop Bira Joshua Season 14 Episode 20

Reach out to us!

What if the “imaginary friend” you grew up with wasn’t so imaginary? We open a candid conversation about the unseen influences that can shadow childhood and follow us into adult life—urging risky choices, breeding isolation, and draining peace from the home. Through clear examples and a grounded perspective, we outline warning signs families often overlook and explore how to respond when a playful presence turns coercive.

Joycelyn’s story brings the issue into sharp focus. As a kid, she woke up screaming, saw figures in her room, and heard a voice telling her to run from her family.

If you’ve felt watched, pressured, or pushed by an unseen weight—on the bus, at work, or alone at night—this conversation offers a way forward. Listen, share with someone who needs it, and help us spread practical hope. Subscribe, leave a review to support the show, and tell us: what signs do you think families should never ignore?

SPEAKER_05:

You are not crazy! Paranormal activity series.

SPEAKER_03:

Hi there! Medegar of the Bible bless your life. Together once again with this episode Paranormal Activity. And today I want to talk about the imaginary friend or invisible friend. How many times you see a child, a kid, talking by himself, herself, just uh talking to the toys. And you think the child is talking by alone. But he's not alone, he's talking to someone. The way he talks, the jesters, even people that talk to the walls. These are the imaginary friends. Nobody sees, but it is real. Some people even call them by names, they name the imaginary friend. It is a demon that disturbs a person's life. Today we are going to see the story of Jocelli, this lady that suffers from Jean's imaginary friend. Always the friend's imaginary friend was telling her to run away. I want you to stay tuned because we are going to see it. But I want to show to you right now what imaginary friends is all about the human imagination.

SPEAKER_04:

It is at its prime when we are children. That's why when a child has an imaginary friend, their parents see it as something healthy and natural. But what happens when this imaginary friend becomes an evil influence? What to do when this invisible being places the child's life at risk? These appearances rob the family of their peace. Things like the moving of objects inside of the house, telling the child to jump from a window or a ledge, or even telling them to jump into waters that they could drown in, instigating them to attack their parents, siblings, or even themselves. Those who had had this experience also have macabre stories to tell of death and pain. The taste for life is destroyed at childhood. Have you or your family been a victim of these so-called imaginary friends?

SPEAKER_03:

Now you are an adult and you grew up with this imaginary friend. When you go, you used to go to school, he was there. Even when you are driving, you have the feeling that this imaginary friend is a passenger. When you are working, this imaginary friend is your co-worker. It's not real, it is an evil spirit. And it doesn't regard men, women, uh adults, children. Imaginary friend is an evil spirit that appears to you. Well, and maybe you are always like this. You are scared, you look scared because this imaginary friend appears to you. Some feel like a real ghost that even touch you, talks to you, and perhaps you do not have many friends. You don't have many friends in life, but you have this imaginary friend that is the only friend that you have. In a few, I'm going to pray, but right now, without waste, no more time, let us watch her testimony.

SPEAKER_00:

My name is Jocelyn Cortez. I am 20 years old, and when I was younger, I used to suffer with a lot of um paranormal activity. I used to see things in my room, I used to have nightmares, I used to wake up screaming because I was always tormented by um spirits, and it got to the point where one time I even spoke to a ghost who kept on telling me to run, to run away from my family. And nobody believed me. My parents didn't believe me at the time. It made me very insecure, especially with a lot of people. Um because of that, I I learned to grow trust issues. So I wasn't able to be around people my age. I was always around people that were older than me, but people, these older people usually ended up hurting me. So I was always looking for comfort in people. I was always looking for a place to fit in because I felt out of place. I felt like I was weird somehow, strange. So it was something difficult for me to grow up. Those experiences also made me become aggressive towards my parents. Um that's how bad things had gotten. I used to tell my parents that I wished they weren't my parents. I wished that you know I had different parents, I had a different life. I didn't like the lifestyle that they had for me, so it was something difficult for me to deal with. My lowest point was when I fell into depression, and it was difficult for me to talk to anybody about it because I felt like nobody knew what I was going through. I felt like I was alone in this world, and I got to the point where I kept on questioning, why am I alive? Why what's the point of me being here? Um, I used to do a lot of things to call attention. I used to get little razors and just scratch the surface of my arm just to get attention from people. That's how much I needed somebody to talk to me. It was that bad that I needed to get somebody's attention so that they can ask me, Are you okay? Talk to me and see if I was doing fine. So my parents um were attending the universal church and I decided to start participating with them. Um, I took part in the groups that they have to offer in the Sunday services, which helped me a lot to um gain better connection with my family. For the Friday services, I started participating, and in the services I became delivered from all evil, from all spirits that were tormenting me. Um the depression was all gone. I felt so free, free from everything. I was free from the depression, free from the anxiety. I used to get very anxious around people, and after participating on Fridays, all of that just left. It left my entire body, my mind, my soul, everything. After I was delivered from all of those evil um spirits, all the evil all the depression and everything that I was going through, um, I began to hear about the Holy Spirit. And it was something that I was introduced to, and many were telling me that with the Holy Spirit, I wouldn't feel lonely anymore, I wouldn't feel by myself, I wouldn't feel sad or have depression come back into my life. Um, so I started to seek, and in this way I was able to receive the Holy Spirit, and now I can say that I am full of peace, I am happy, I don't have to pretend or fake a smile. Um I'm truly genuinely a happy person now. Um I have friends, they're not fake friends, they're not friends that I'm trying to impress anymore. I do not see ghosts anymore. Um, the ghosts are all gone and they are never coming back into my life.

SPEAKER_03:

She's now completely free. Jocelyn does not have fake friends, she has real friends, and right now I want to pray for all of you. I want you, please, if you can, to stand up right now, get the cup of water. I will pray for your deliverance. Close your eyes, oh God Almighty, God of the Bible, in the name of Jesus. I ask you, O Father, that you may bless this water. So that when dispersed drink of the water, this torment will go away. This torment will leave disperser once and for all. I bless, consacrate this water in Jesus' name. Drink your water, it is blessed. Amen. Right now, raise both your hands, let me do the prayer for deliverance. Close your eyes. In the name of Jesus, oh Lord, I bless in now their hands for freedom, for deliverance, free dispersal from all evil. Place your hands over there upon your head. Once again, close your eyes. In the name of Jesus, imaginary friend. I say, leave this person alone. Get out of this person's life, mind, mentality. Get out of this person right now. You appear as a friend, you appear, you talk to this person, you give your opinion to this person, you tell this person to do evil. I rebuke you, evil as a spirit, and I command you leave, you appear in the bedroom, you appear as a co-worker, you appear to talk to this person wherever she goes. Those who are in prison, they don't have a cell in a bank, but you appear in the cell as a companion, as a friend. I rebuke you, evil spirit, and I command you to leave. Open your eyes now, and you say, in Jesus' name, take off your hand and say, get out of my life, and never return. Breathe now in and out. Amen. You are free indeed in Jesus Christ's name. What is the next step right now? Every week, you watching us here on this podcast. But right now, I want to show you how to contact us, how to come into the universal church every Friday for freedom for deliverance. Tell a friend of yours about us.
