Don't Let Your Spirit be Disabled

Reach out to us!

What carries us when the body is weak? We explore the surprising strength of the mind—our spirit—and how it can sustain us through illness, fear, and long nights of uncertainty. Rooted in a simple framework of who we are—body, spirit, and soul—we talk candidly about caring for each part with wisdom, compassion, and faith.

We start by grounding the conversation in everyday realities: the body is fragile and deserves real care. Sleep, nourishment, exercise, doctor visits, and the right supplements matter because our bodies are finite and made from dust. From there, we move into the inner world, describing the spirit as the mind—our thoughts, focus, and willingness to stand firm when circumstances shake us. Drawing on Proverbs 18:14, we reflect on why some people endure the same diagnosis with greater steadiness: a healthy spirit becomes the beam that holds the roof when storms hit.

SPEAKER_00:

Here on Soul Food Podcast, Motivational Mondays with Bishop Joshua. Hi there. May the God of the Bible bless your life. God the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit, or Holy Trinity. The Holy Spirit is God, is Jesus Himself. But do not forget that you have your own spirit. Your spirit is your mind. Your spirit is your mentality. Your spirit is your your brain, the power of thinking. Just as God is the Holy Trinity, we are also a Trinity. We are body, spirit, and soul. We are three. Right? And the body that is the temple of the Holy Spirit is subjected to diseases, virus, infections, because the body is made of clay or made of the earth. Yes, dust. So it is subject to diseases. That's why we have always to take care of our bodies, to sleep well, to exercise, to nourish our body, to eat, to go to see a doctor, to take vitamins, supplements, things like that. But the spirit, your spirit or your mind, uh has also to be healthy. Because if your spirit is sick, I mean your mind is sick, is negative, is doubtful, is fearful, who will sustain the body? The book of Proverbs 18, verse 14 states, the spirit of a man or the mind of a man will sustain him in sickness. But who can bear a broken spirit or a broken mind? You know, many people die not because of the disease itself, but because their mind or their spirit that becomes weak before a disease. And they have seen some phine abnormal in your blood count, your heart, your liver, your kidney, and if you have a sound or health mind, if you have a strong spirit, you will be sustained by this spirit that is healthy. But if your spirit is broken, who can sustain you? So maybe you are listening to me inside of a hospital. Somebody sent you this message, and you are sick or you are home, bad ridden, you cannot move. You are there disabled now, handicapped. Don't let your spirit be disabled. Don't let your mind be handicapped. Be strong. The Lord is with you, and the Lord is the healer. Let your mind or your spirit sustain you. Let it be healthy. Don't doubt the power of God, because He is the same, the God of miracles. Amen. God bless all of you. If you have a family member that is sick, or somebody, friend that is in the hospital, send this message. Let, even without prayers or the anointing with the holy oil, let this person have this healthy mind, spirit, and be healed in Jesus' name. God bless you. Have a good
