Speaker 2:

Here on the Soul Food Podcast, once again together with the Naked Truth. And the Naked Truth today, as usual, is very strong and very profound. The story of miss uh Jeanette oh my friends, what a story, what a story of suffering. But I don't want just to talk about her suffering, I want to say also water transformation. This lady by she was in prison for 10 years, yes, 10 years. Man of the unities, the prisons she's going to mention in her story. We are based there because we have the prison ministry that is called UBB and we go to prison and I'll be back with you talking more about the word of God and Peruan capo fuara, because we are going to pray together.

Speaker 3:

Jeanette thought she was the black sheep of her family because out of all her siblings, she was the only one with a different father. Her father told her that she was not his child. Because of this, she was hurt and grew up with a lot of anger. Let us hear now the rest of her story. Her father told her that she was not his child. Because of this, she was hurt and grew up with a lot of anger. Let us hear now the rest of her story.

Speaker 4:

I got pregnant when I was 17,. And my mom, she really went off the wall. She tried to make me whoop my baby out of me and she didn't like my baby out of me. She didn't like my baby for a minute when I was pregnant. I didn't have any help. I had to stop going to school for a while because I had to take care of her. So I got past that and when I got 28, I hurried up and moved away out on my own. But then I went to the wrong man friend, the man that I did choose to be with. He was a drug dealer, but he gave me everything. He took care of me. I started messing with drugs, heroin. When I got on the drugs he started beating me. He started whipping me. He started hitting me, physically, abusing me, until he said that he was going to mess with my daughter.

Speaker 3:

The worst experience she ever faced in her life was when she got into an abusive relationship. The abuse was already unbearable, and not only was he a drug dealer, but he was also a pimp. When he mentioned her daughter, the anger in Jeanette overtook her.

Speaker 4:

And I knew the kind of man he was and what he was doing to other women. So he said that he was gonna mess with her and that image. When he was hitting me and I was crawling and all I could think of was get the gun and I crawled and when I turned around he was gonna hit me with this bed slack and I just closed my eyes and I shot the gun. When I shot him, him he fell on top of me. I went to my mom. They called the police.

Speaker 4:

I went to prison but they said that it was crime out of passion. I stayed. I had got 10 years. I did 10 years in prison. I was on hobby. I spent 10 years in prison. I was on hobby. I was in a NIL unit. We opened that NIL unit up. I was on Mount View. I was on Hilltop Mary. Every prison in Gatesfield they were just because I was a bad influence. I was bad. I didn't want to do what the officers tell me to do because I was used to doing it my way and so I would stay locked down, I would fight the officers, I would lose my line and stuff and it just got to the point where I wanted to see my baby, but I never could see him because I was locked down all the time.

Speaker 3:

She served 10 years going from prison to prison, unable to see her family. When she came out of prison, she unfortunately went back to doing drugs, shooting heroin and cocaine. Due to the drugs in her system, she suffered from a stroke and became paralyzed on the right side of her body.

Speaker 4:

It took me a while to walk. It took me a while to talk. It took me a while to function. My face was crooked. I had a lot of rehabilitation to do, but I didn't have insurance so I didn't have medical help to get the things that I needed. As I couldn't walk, they told me that I wasn't going to walk anymore. I was in a wheelchair, a walker. I had the things on my legs because my balance was so off.

Speaker 3:

After having the stroke later on, she had to admit herself to the hospital, where they diagnosed her with tuberculosis, and that was where she found out about the Universal Church.

Speaker 4:

I found something in my slobber and they were saying that it was TB. So they sent me to the hospital and I had to stay there until they found out what it was. So that's when I got introduced to the Universal Church. I was browsing through the channel and I seen the Bishop Joshua on there, so I flipped it it and something just say flip it back. I went back and I turned it back on. But I turned my back to the tv and he was like hey, you, and it was scaring me.

Speaker 4:

I started thinking somebody came to the room but it was him and he said it three times. So when I turned around he was pointing and it just. I was like, oh, that's what got my attention. And he started naming all of these ailments, these sickness, and this lady came on. She gave her testimony and so I called her. I called while I was in the hospital. I called the number and I told him I told him, whoever I was talking to that I was in the hospital. I called the number and I told them. I told them, whoever I was talking to, that I was in the hospital. That day somebody called me from the church and I was like, yes, sir. I said look. I said yes, sir. He said I'm calling from the Universal Church in this, that and the other.

Speaker 3:

One phone call changed her whole life. The pastor she was speaking with invited her to come down to the Universal Church. Although she was using a motor scooter and a walker, nothing stopped her from coming and, sure enough, that day she received her healing.

Speaker 4:

So when I got there, the bishop had told me to get up, but I was scared to get up. So I got up with my walker and he said leave the walker. But I was scared because I was scared and he said do you believe? And I was like yes, he said well, get up.

Speaker 2:

Since 05, she was like this 05, to move. She depended on this chair. She could not walk right, right, right. She saw one day the TV. She started drinking the water. Stand up here, please. She doesn't need the walker, she doesn't need the cane, because the Lord does a complete job.

Speaker 4:

My life is different. I used to have chronic pain all throughout my body, all day, 24-7, I'd be hurting. I don't have any pain anymore. I don't smoke weed anymore. I don't smoke weed anymore. I don't drink anymore. I'm happy, out of my. I'm 64 years old and I never had this much peace. I have joy. I love myself. Now I don't get angry. I don't. I had a lot of anger towards people. When I received the Holy Spirit, I had the assurance that God had me, that he had accepted me. I was just so happy. I was just. It was just. It was just. I can't explain it, but it was great. It is power in the universal church and if you honor God's Word and be faithful to him, he's gonna manifest itself in your life and you're gonna be blessed if you come. I have been blessed from day one, from the time I got introduced to the University Church. God just started working in my life, in my life, and I am so glad to be a part of the University Church.

Speaker 3:

You have seen the before and the after of Mrs Jeanette's life. Today her life is completely transformed and she is happy.

Speaker 2:

Life is completely transformed and she is happy. This happiness in her life came through the Holy Spirit, because this lady had a thousand reasons to remain the same. You heard her saying that she was rebellious in jail. She did not want to obey the officers, she did not want to do their ways but her ways. She was always in isolation, segregation. But once she received the Holy Spirit, she was able to forgive herself, forgive those who hurt her, and she also was able to become a new person, a happy person. More than the healing because she had the stroke, she had crack, cocaine addiction. She was a miserable woman. More than deliverance, the healing and everything, the freedom from prison she received the Holy Spirit. The freedom from prison, she received the Holy Spirit.

Speaker 2:

Some people, or many people, do not receive the Holy Spirit only because they don't want to forgive. You don't want to forget your past, you don't want to forgive those who hurt you, those who have hurt you. You don't want to forgive. But I want you, you and me. We have a conversation. Right, just as one day Miss Jeanette was watching the TV and I called her, now I am calling you. We have a conversation. Come closer here. Why are you so far? So far from me. Come closer. Yes, come closer. Let us have a frank conversation. I ask the question and then you, you answer me. Right, I ask and you answer me. My question is do you want to be forgiven? Do you want God to forgive you? I'm pretty sure that the answer is yes, you want to be forgiven. Okay, thank you for your answer. Now, second question. Second question Do you forgive, or have you forgiven, those who hurt you, those who almost destroyed your life? Have you forgiven your offender, those who have offended you? It's a tough question, isn't it? You want to answer, but you don't know the answer, because you know you haven't forgiven them. Now let us read the scripture, what the Lord Jesus Christ said For if you forgive men men are plural their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. So it's given and taken you forgive, you are forgiven. Let us read next, verse 15. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses, your sins, your mistakes, and, as you know, we all commit mistakes.

Speaker 2:

One day somebody asked me why the universal church goes to prison. We have this prison ministry. We go beyond bars, beyond the gates, we lock ourselves up among criminals, evildoers, and there we assist them. And somebody once asked me why do you go to prison? Why do you work inside of prison? Those people don't deserve. They are serial killers, murderers. They have raped children, they have killed parents, they are drug dealers, prostitutes. They have abused children. They have killed their own children. Why do you go there? Then I told this person please answer me, what do you think?

Speaker 2:

Why did Jesus save a criminal on the cross? He had an option Say hey, my friend, you are here because you deserve. But when one of the criminals, the robber turned to Jesus and asked for forgiveness, jesus right away forgave him and took him with him to the paradise. That's the reason why I go to prison. When I see people like Miss Jeanette, whose life was transformed, I'm very happy, extremely happy. You know why? Because it is one more life transformed by the power of God. Now she's no longer on drugs, she's no longer crippled, she can walk, she's free, because the Lord, jesus Christ, has freed her.

Speaker 3:

Don't stop listening. Soul Food has more to feed you. You are listening to Soul Food with Bishop Joshua. We'll be right back.

Speaker 5:

Breathe, holy Spirit. Lift up the fallen. Can we endure the pain calling out for your name? Come to restore. Breathe, holy Spirit, wash us with life, with love, and back the pieces. I can hear noises of your great word. Make rise from out of the valley, as my bones must be lifted and, with your power, come and restore deep from among as they fall. Bring up my mighty nation to walk through the earth where there is stars of love, where there is stars of love, everything will be moved, everything brought together. Where there is stars of love, where there is stars of love.

Speaker 5:

When the wind starts to blow, when the wind starts to blow, everything will be moved, everything's brought together. When the wind starts to blow of wake, rise from out of the valley, if dry but must be lifted, and, with your power, come and restore Deep from among as they fall in. Bring up a mighty nation To walk through the earth when the wind starts to blow. Where the wind starts to blow, everything will be moved, everything's brought together. When the wind starts to blow. When the wind starts to blow, everything will be moved, everything's brought together. When the rain starts to blow. When the rain starts to blow, everything will be moved, everything's brought together when the rain starts to blow. When the rain starts to blow, everything will be moved. Everything's brought together when the rain starts to blow. When the rain starts to blow, forgive and be forgiven.

Speaker 2:

Forgive and be forgiven. Forgive and be forgiven. Let us now pray to God, let us talk to Him, let us go to the presence of God. The Spirit of God will descend upon you.

Speaker 3:

It's now the moment of prayer. Let us talk to God.

Speaker 5:

Here I am In this moment of prayer, so despised, without love, need to talk with my Lord.

Speaker 2:

Please get your water, close your eyes. Oh, holy Spirit, my Lord and my Father, I know that you can hear me. You can hear my voice. There are many people out there like Miss Jeanette was Lost a miserable life. She was a lost case. She was the lost ship, black ship. But you have transformed her life and I praise you for that.

Speaker 2:

And now, my Lord, I ask you to give to this person strength To forgive herself. This person has done so many wrong stuff, evil things, but now this person doesn't know what to do to forgive. Spirit of the Lord, I ask you right now Come, my father, come my Lord, and help this person. She doesn't forgive for what she did. She has done horrible things prostitution, lesbianism, abortion. He has been stealing, lying, he has been humanizing. Oh lord, and there is this accusation. Help this person to forgive himself and help this person to forgive others. Give strength, my Lord. They don't have strength to forgive, but right now, the spirit of forgiveness come upon this person. Oh, my friend, I'll give you some minutes to pray, you yourself, you are going to pray to God. Talk to him right now and I ask you to pray for that person. I know it is not easy, but pray for those who have hurt you. Pray for them, go ahead. But pray for those who have hurt you. Pray for them, go ahead.

Speaker 2:

The Spirit of the Living God. Now I ask you to consecrate this water. Somebody out there that had a stroke, sugar, diabetes, high blood pressure. This person had an accident. This person is in addictions. My Lord, forgive this person an accident. This person is in addictions. My Lord, forgive this person and rescue his life and her life.

Speaker 2:

In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, amen, praise God. Amen, drink your water. It is blessed. Take me, amen, drink your water. It is blessed to see your face, pass me by the crowds of people and the priests who sing their praise. Lord, I am in thirst for your righteousness and it's only found one place. Take me into the Holy of Holies. Take me in by the blood of the Lamb. Take me into the Holy of Holies. Every Wednesday at the Universal Church, pastors, bishops, will lead you into the holiness of holiness. Every Wednesday, 7 pm, though we have the services in the morning, in the afternoon, but 7 pm is the members meeting, also Sunday morning.
