Here on the Soul Food Podcast, naked truth, to uncover the truth and tell you that there is a solution to your problem, to your situation. I have miss wendy and she's going to share with us her story because, before knowing the truth, she had anxiety, she had depression but, praise God, she is free. I have known her life, her husband, the kids, because she is a member of our church serving God in Los Angeles, california. Hello, ms Wendy. How are you? Hi, bishop, I'm good.

Speaker 4:

Thank you.

Speaker 3:

Thank you for joining us. Your testimony, your story, will inspire, will help many ladies that are having the same problems you had. Tell us the dark side of your life, your past life life.

Speaker 4:

Well, the dark side of my life was I used to suffer a lot with anxiety and depression. That I remember since very little. I was very little when I started experiencing that. I was depressed that I had all these kind of feelings inside of me. I was depressed that I had all these kind of feelings inside of me, emotions, you know, frustrated I was. I was happy some some days, some days I was, like you know, fighting my own self and I never knew what it was until, you know, I had all these feelings until I came to the church, to the University of Church, 11 years ago, and I remember that day when I entered the church it was a Friday night, it was my very first time and the pastor was talking about, you know.

Speaker 4:

He said he was doing a strong prayer of deliverance and that day I remember that I closed my eyes, I put my hands on my head, like he said, and he was just praying very strong and I felt like it was talking to me, like it was helping me. I just felt like something, very something, just came off me.

Speaker 3:

Well, I'm going to show right now what anxiety is all about the way that she was feeling, and if you feel this way, you can also count on us. She came on Friday night. The Universal Church is open every single day. On Fridays, we have the chain of prayer for deliverance, for freedom. Let us take a look now.

Speaker 5:

According to the World Health Organization, the number of people with an anxiety disorder in the world increased by 18.4% in the last 10 years. There has never been as much medicine sold today to control anxiety than there ever was before. Anxiety is characterized by too much fear the fear of what will or will not happen. This disorder triggers a wave of hormones that creates a physical reaction in the body. Common symptoms of anxiety disorder are excessive sweating, dizziness, tremors, rapid heartbeat lack or excess sleep, excess hunger or a lack of appetite, disinterest in activities and even suicidal thoughts. Anxiety is triggered when one's emotions become too overwhelming and prevents them from taking care of their tasks and commitments. Anxiety disorder can progress into depression. It is estimated that four out of five depressed patients initially had anxiety.

Speaker 3:

And if this is how you feel. Ms Wendy had this problem. Of course she overcame it. She's going to tell us in a few how her life is. But if you suffer from anxiety, call the helpline number 1-888-332-4141. Send us a text message. The text is 1-888-312-4141. Let me go back to Miss Wendy, and you said that you had anxiety, anxiety, depression. How did it affect your life? Like family, was financial, was career, job? How did it affect you?

Speaker 4:

It affected me in a lot of ways because I always felt frustrated. It affected me in a lot of ways because I always felt frustrated. There was a time that the anxiety was too much that I would get so bothered of people getting close to me. I would feel irritated. Sometimes I would get frustrated, not even going to work because I had to be like, oh my God, I'm going to face the same things again. You know, thinking it was my job. But it's not my job, it's me, but never knew it was me because of all those feelings that I was going through. So it did affect me and affected me because I had to let go of my job for the same reason.

Speaker 4:

There was one time that I went to the doctor and I even told my doctor. I said you know what? I don't know what's going on with me. I need you to help me, I need you to give me something, because I just feel like like my mind is just telling me a hundred things like at the same time, like it's just bombarding my mind. And you know, I had to let go of my job for the same reason. I let go of everything I had, my house and everything. I let go of everything I had my house and everything. I let it go and because it was affecting me that I wasn't being able to function well like I wanted to, like I wanted to inside of me, but I couldn't.

Speaker 3:

Did you take medications for depression or anxiety?

Speaker 4:

Yes, I took medications for anxiety. Was it helping me? No, To me it wasn't helping me. You know, maybe it helped me for a little bit for the moment, but I can't say that, oh, it helped me, it cured me, because it didn't.

Speaker 3:

The issue is when the problem is a spiritual problem. Doctors, medications, pastors, bishops, physicians, social workers, any professional one cannot help. Only God, only the power of God. People go from doctors to doctors, psychologists, counselors, pastors, bishops, many churches, and they still have the same problem. Why? Because they are not free In this ministry. We decided to go to the root of the problem, to uproot it by the root by coming to the Universal Church. Miss Wendy, what did you do and how is your life right now as we are speaking?

Speaker 4:

Thank you by coming to the universal church.

Speaker 4:

Like I said, um, I came faithfully the first three years. Um, I did a chain of prayer on fridays for strong prayers of deliverance, because I wanted to be free, I wanted, I wanted to be delivered, and the more that I will hear the pastor say you know, just come fridays, do a chain of prayer, um, you're going to be set free from this problem. And every time that I would go in there, I remember I used to tell God, my God, I don't want to go in the same way, I don't want to come out the same way I came in. You have to help me, you have to change me, you have to do something. And because I told him with this boldness and frustration, because I was already tired of it, I told him and he just literally, you know, set me free.

Speaker 4:

I remember one day I just came out and I felt like I just came out from a cage, like a bird that just came out of a cage and started flying. That's exactly how I felt in my life. Now it's amazing, it's beautiful, it's blessed, I'm super blessed. I thank God for everything that he has done inside of me and outside, and he's continually doing even more.

Speaker 3:

What has God done inside of you?

Speaker 4:

What he has done inside of me. He set me free from my anxiety, from my depression. I'm happy, I'm at peace, I'm more calm. I mean I'm able to talk how I wanted to talk and I have the Holy Spirit and I feel great, I feel wonderful.

Speaker 3:

So he replaced, he took the anxiety, he took the depression, yes, and he gave to you his spirit.

Speaker 4:

Yes.

Speaker 3:

Amen. And how is the outside? What has God done outside?

Speaker 4:

Outside, like in what do you mean?

Speaker 3:

Like family was how is your family, how is your life as a whole?

Speaker 4:

Yeah, my family as a whole. I mean I have a good relationship with my husband, my kids, we are all blessed. I mean my financial life. He has blessed me in amazing ways and he's still doing it. I mean I ask God for certain things but I think he's just doing a little more and that's just who God is, you know. But I can literally say that my life outside it's wonderful. I'm blessed.

Speaker 3:

Amen. Thank you very much for your story. Congratulations for your faith. All the best.

Speaker 4:

Thank you, Bishop.

Speaker 3:

Bye-bye. You see, my friends. One more story here on the naked truth. Speaker 2:

He saw the best in me when everyone else around could only see the worst in me. Good God Almighty, good God Almighty, won't you help me sing? Won't you help me sing right now? He saw the best in me when everyone else, when everyone else, when everyone else around, could only see the worst in me. I wish I had a witness in the house today. I wish I had a witness in the house. Can I tell you why? This is why? Oh, he's mine, he's mine, I am his, I'm his. It doesn't matter. It doesn't matter what it means. He only sees me feel. He only sees me. He only sees me. I am here, he's mine, I am here. It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter what I feel. He only sees me. He only sees me. He only sees me If I know who I am.

Speaker 2:

I said what did he say? He's all the best. I said what did he say? The best? I said what did he say the best? I said what did he say the best? I said what did he say? He's all the best? I said what the best? I said what the best. Tell me, please, tell me please. I said what I said what Tell me, please, tell me please. Before the best in me. I'm stronger, I'm wiser, I'm wiser, I'm better, so much better. When I look back, I said when I look back, I said when I look back Over all he brought me through, I realized I made it Because I had him to hold on to. Oh, I never would have made it. Oh, I never could have made it, never could have made it without him. Oh, yeah, I would have lost it all. But now I can see how you were there for me. I never, never, would have made it.

Speaker 3:

I never, never, would have made it. We have now come to the end of our program, but before I go, I want to intercede for you. This is the moment of intercession. Let me intercede, join me now in prayers, because through this prayer, our God will hear our prayers, our voice, and bless your life.

Speaker 5:

It's now the moment of prayer. Let us talk to God.

Speaker 2:

Here I am. In this moment of prayer, so despised without love, need to talk with my Lord.

Speaker 3:

Oh my Lord oh my Lord, oh my Lord, come quickly, help this person that is unloved, unwanted. Nobody cares. She feels like unwanted, a person that was born and raised in suffering. Now she came to her 30s, 40s. This man is in suffering pain, not knowing, o Lord, what to do anymore.

Speaker 3:

But I ask you, holy Spirit, for the change, for the transformation. I know that you can do it. So let the life of this person begin to change and I ask you, my Lord, that in this month you may do something great, amazing, powerful for this person. She cannot take it anymore. This person has reached the limit. Yes, she cannot do anything else. But I ask you, my Lord, transform this life water into wine. Come to give peace to this person, come to wipe away their tears, those who are in suffering pain, those whose life is broken. Lord Jesus, restore the life of this person. Set this person free from crack, cocaine, depression, all curses. Deliver this person once and for all. Consacrate right now this cup of water that we may drink and receive your peace, peace inside of the soul, peace of mind, peace to keep on going In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Amen, praise God. Drink right now this water. Is blessed.

Speaker 2:

I will lift up mine eyes to the hills. From whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord, the Lord which made heaven and earth. He said he will not suffer, and earth, he said he will not suffer thy foot, thy foot to be moved the Lord which keepeth.
