Speaker 2:Naked Truths. We are here once again to uncover the truth and also to prove to you that you are not the only one. Many times, people suffer with so many problems, rejection. They have this broken life and they think I am the only one in this situation. And there comes so many questions why I was born, for which reason? Why am I suffering like this? Why I was born in this family, why did somebody abuse me, rape me? Why me, why me? And you keep asking yourself why me? I want you to understand something you are not suffering because you have bad luck or because you were born in this family because you are black, white, short, tall. No, you are suffering because the enemy of God, that is, the devil, is torturing your life day by day, and I want to prove to you that you are not the only one in suffering. What this young lady will share with us today will, for sure, shock you. I have Marilyn with us on the Naked Truth. She suffered from her young age. Hello, marilyn, how are you?
Speaker 3:I'm doing well, bishop, how are?
Speaker 2:you Good. Thank you for joining us and for sharing your story here on the Naked Truth. Are you ready?
Speaker 3:Yes, I am.
Speaker 2:Right Before I speak to Marilyn, I want to show to you the day-to-day problems, problems that people suffer and face every single day. You just recently lost your job. You lost a family member. Just recently, your husband walked away from you. These are the day-to-day problems. Now you are from paycheck to paycheck. You suffer every single day, not knowing what to do. Can you see this cup of water here? I want you to prepare yours. Prepare one cup of water like this, or even a bottle of water. Keep it there closer to your TV, because we are going to pray together. When I pray and I bless this water, the power of God will go inside of you and there will be a transformation, a change in your life. I will be right back talking to Marilyn and she's going to share with us the naked truth, the dark side of her life.
Speaker 1:Every day, I wake up early and go to work. I spend most of my day at a job that does nothing but tear me down. My boss doesn't appreciate the work I do, and my co-workers treat me with no respect. I work so hard and yet I'm underpaid. When I'm at work, all I can think about is how badly I want to go home. On my way back home, I expect a peace of mind, but then I'm confronted with bills and worries. The arguments at home take away any strength that I have left for the day. From there, all I can do is lie down and try to get some rest, but night after night, the insomnia kicks in. At home, I'm useless. I might as well be at work, where I have a purpose. Then the next morning comes, I go back to work, and the cycle continues, no matter if I'm at home or at work. I'm never at peace with myself.
Speaker 2:That's right. You are never at peace with yourself. Marilyn, tell me how young were you when your suffering began.
Speaker 3:It started at a very young age, bishop. It actually began when I was around six years old. At that moment, my parents had divorced. They had separated when I was one years old. At that moment, my parents had divorced. They had separated when I was one years old. And at that one years old I really didn't understand why my parents divorced until I got to the age of six and I felt very lonely at that age because I didn't have my father with me and my mother had started becoming very sick she actually had cancer at that age and we had to move in with a friend of hers. And when we had moved in with her friend, I was abused sexually by her children, by her two sons and a daughter, and at that age I didn't know what was going on. I didn't understand what they were doing to me, because they made it seem as if it was a game.
Speaker 2:Let me ask you once again how old were you?
Speaker 3:Six years old you, Six years old, sir.
Speaker 2:Six years old, a mother sick with cancer and being molested by people that were supposed to help you.
Speaker 3:Correct and I grew up with a lot of sadness, a lot of anger inside of me. I was very quiet. I didn't like being around people because I felt as if anyone that was going to be around me was going to hurt me. And I grew up like that, very quiet. I had problems in school for being very quiet and not being talkative and I was very angry.
Speaker 3:I grew up being a very angry girl and I it wasn't only that one time that I got molested. Uh, it happened again when I was 12 years old, again when I was 13, and I was raped at 21 years old. So, growing up, being treated that way, being molested, being raped, I always questioned, as you mentioned earlier, I was that type of person that would always question why me? Why am I going through this? Why was I even born? What was the reason for me being born? Is it for me to suffer all my life? And I would always think, yeah, I'm just, I was just born to suffer. All of my life I've been going through suffering and I would see my mom. She remarried with someone else and she started going through domestic violence. Her partner would abuse her physically and I was growing up seeing that I would see my mom get hurt physically to the point where she was almost murdered in front of my eyes.
Speaker 2:Madeline. What happened is these people like you, who are suffering like you. They have this conception in mind Suffering is my destiny. What should I do? I just give in? They just accept, and the next problem, the next episode, the next suffering that they suffer, they start accepting as normal as life. I don't know if it ever happened to you.
Speaker 3:Yes, it actually did. I was beginning to think that it was something normal, that you know, this is how life was supposed to be, and because I was just going through so many things it was abuse I was feeling lonely and I started having a lot of anger issues. I started, you know, treating my mother bad because I had so much anger built inside of me. I said, and I would always tell myself, I'm not going to be that perfect little girl that everyone wanted. Because of what was I, what I was going through? To the point that I would physically fight my mother. My mother didn't understand what was going on, and my mom actually, one day she saw the program.
Speaker 2:Did you ever tell your mother or the adults that you were being molested, raped?
Speaker 3:I actually didn't, because I would. I was very afraid of what my mother was going to react. My mom was already sick and she was going through her problems with her marriage, with her sickness. So I always kept everything inside of me, everything that would happen to me. I I would never share it with anyone, because I was afraid that no one was going to believe me, that nothing was going to happen to the other person, and I felt like it was meant to be for me to go through this, because it was not only once that happened, it was continuously Right.
Speaker 2:I want Madeline to say to those who are watching us right now if you have been abused, you suffer domestic violence or you have been molested, you are a teenager and you are afraid to tell your parents. You have to tell the authorities, the police, the law enforcement. Do not keep it for yourself, because you never know how to defend yourself if you do not seek for help. On the other hand, the parents when a child tells you, whether a boy or a girl, that they have been molested, believe in them. It can be something from their mind that they saw on movies, but also it can be a reality. You never know. So believe in them. Take the children to do some tests to the doctors and go for it, because if you do not take action, this child will have nobody to speak to, will grow up with this trauma and will become even violent or have this sexual orientation problem because there was nobody to help. You are now listening to Soul Food Podcast with Bishop Joshua.
Speaker 4:We'll be right back. I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God. All my life you have been faithful. All my life you have been so, so good, so good. With every breath that I am able, oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God. I love your voice. You have led me through the fire and darkest nights. You are close like no other. I've known you as a father, I've known you as a friend and I have lived in the goodness of God All my life. You have been faithful. All my life you have been so, so good. With every breath that I am able, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God. Your goodness is running after, is running after me. Your goodness is running after, is running after me when my life laid down, I'm surrendered. Now I give you everything your goodness is running after, is running after me. All my life you have been faithful. All my life you have been so, so good. With every breath that I am able, oh, I'm gonna sing of the goodness of God.
Speaker 1:Prepare your cup of water. In a few, Bishop Joshua will be praying for you.
Speaker 2:That's right. I'm going to pray for you. I have here my device and I have here on this device the text message that we receive throughout our program. You can send me a message right now, a text message. This is my number 1-888-312-4141. I receive here a text from South Carolina and this person is asking prayer for the family and to be free from the financial burden I am going to pray, miss Sandra, I received your text here and to be free from the financial burden. I am going to pray, miss Sandra. I received your text here. Send me a text right now. The number is there. I am going to reply you as soon as I finish the program. Also, I have a group, a team of people filled with the Holy Spirit. They also helped me to answer these text messages.
Speaker 2:Well, let me go back to speak to Marilyn. Marilyn tell me, you were abused. You were raped, molested, could not speak to your mother. She had her own issues. To your mother, she had her own issues. You could not speak to your parents, people that were around. She was sick. She had a relationship problem. But how did the problem escalate growing up as a teenager?
Speaker 3:It just went worse and worse each day. Because of all of the abuse, I actually grew up feeling very isolated from everyone and I turned into a group of friends which weren't the best of people that we can be friends with, and they introduced me to drugs and they said you know, take this drug, it's going to make you happy, it's going to make you relax, it's going to make you feel like a better person. And it started with just marijuana. So I started smoking marijuana and at first it was very strong for me and it made me feel good in the moment. But once the effects were off, it was just as if my life went back to normal, back to how it was sad, loneliness, very angry inside, and I wanted to try another drug that was stronger. And I just kept going like that.
Speaker 3:Each drug that I was taking was just drug that was stronger, and I just kept going like that. Each drug that I was taking was just getting stronger and stronger. I would take mushrooms, ecstasy, cocaine, marijuana. I would drink a lot. I just wanted to get that. Marilyn, let me let me.
Speaker 2:I'm sorry. Let me ask you can you repeat that? What type of drugs were you using?
Speaker 3:I. It started with marijuana, then shrooms the mushrooms, ecstasy, cocaine, various difference of really strong liquor Um, I would smoke tobacco, cigarettes, just everything, everything so I can fill in that void that I was having. It was just going worse and worse each day. I would party, I would leave the house Friday night and not come back until Monday night. I started using selling my body. I sold my body just so I can buy drugs and it was just coming. Really it was just getting worse and worse each day. I didn't seem to get that void filled in with anything that I was taking. I just didn't know what to do with my life anymore.
Speaker 2:And nobody could ever understand you because they did not know your pain. I believe that people are judging you as calling you like by names prostitutes, a woman without manners, without respect, a drug act. They were calling you by many names, but nobody knew your pain right.
Speaker 3:That's exactly right. I did have a lot of people calling me certain names and it just made me dig into a bigger depression because I would see it, I would go into my Facebook page and there was various comments of people naming me different things, prostitute, other things that were worse than that name.
Speaker 2:And nowadays people even kill themselves. When they see these bad remarks, people calling them by names, they just go off. They either kill themselves or they kill someone because of so many bad remarks. In the universal church we say to people come as you are. Actually, I always say God has chosen you. Actually, I always say God has chosen you. Whether you are a prostitute or the pimp, drug dealer or somebody that uses drugs, a user, come as you are. We are not going to judge you. You know why? Because I understand your pain, I understand the pain of Marilee. I understand her pain Because she was molested Six years old. She was raped. Well, she grew up. The only life she knew was that drugs, prostitution. She wants to feel special and they judge you because you are homosexual, because you are a lesbian, because you sell drugs, because you are a lesbian, because you sell drugs, you use drugs. But they don't know. They don't know your past, your background, where you come from, the suffering, the pain, dysfunctional family In this ministry. Hey, look at me. I say to you come as you are, because we are here for you. If the world despises you, your own daddy tells you you are good for nothing. Your own daddy tells you you are not my daughter, you are not my son. They put you in a hole In this ministry. We embrace your case. You know why? Because God has chosen you. Come as you are. The universal church is open every single day.
Speaker 2:Pastors Pastors that were like you. They were no angels. They were no angels. They were also on drugs. They were no angels. There were no angels. They were also on drugs. They were also broken. God transformed their lives. Now they are used to transform yours as well.
Speaker 2:These are the people that you are going to speak right now on the helpline. You are not going to speak to a robot. You are not going to leave a message on the machine. No, you are going to speak to human beings, people like you, not people that came from Just from the college Universe. These people were not formed Like robots to be there Repeating words to you. No, these people are suffering like you are and they are going to embrace your case.
Speaker 2:Give us a call. The number is there 1-888-332-4141. Call this number. Call right now. You don't want to call? Send me a text. I am going to take your text message. Actually, I have here my device and I receive I myself, I receive all the texts here. I cannot show much because I have many numbers and I don't share people's information, but I have the numbers here. These are all. Let me show very quickly the texts that I receive and I keep these numbers on prayers. Go ahead and send me a text. The number is there 1-888. This is for the text 312-4141. Hey, hey, god has chosen you.
Speaker 1:In life, there is no greater privilege than to be chosen by God. The Lord Jesus foretold that majority are not. In fact, many are called, but few are chosen. Among the 7.5 billion people in the entire world, there is a group of people that were handpicked by the Almighty to be His witness on earth. Among them are ex-prostitutes.
Speaker 3:I thought I was made only to use my body and when God accepted me, that was the most. It was very special.
Speaker 2:Ex-criminals very special.
Speaker 1:Ex-criminals.
Speaker 5:You want these words to come true in your life that they come true in my life. Ex-addicts. I went to the courthouse and told them please, you need to lock me up because I'm going to die, because I was smoking so much crack when the Holy Spirit came in me. I couldn't. It was so much joy and peace.
Speaker 1:Ex-pimps.
Speaker 3:This is what I know so this is what I'm doing, so I'm going to continue.
Speaker 4:The Holy Spirit taught me how to be a wife, taught me how to be a mother, taught me how to be an auntie. Taught me how to be a sister. Taught me how to be a woman period.
Speaker 1:But what is God's criteria to make such a choice? But what is God's criteria to make such a choice? The answer is but God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty.
Speaker 1:God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things and the things that are not to nullify, the things that are that no flesh should glory in his presence. And now God has chosen you. Prepare your cup of water In a few.
Speaker 2:Bishop Joshua will be praying for you. Well, we are back here. Let me speak to Marilyn, this lady that suffered since she was a young girl. Marilyn, did you ever think in life that you could be happy, that you?
Speaker 3:could have a family. No, I never thought of that. That thought never crossed my mind.
Speaker 2:Never.
Speaker 3:Actually never. I never thought that I would be happy. I always thought that I was born to suffer. I didn't believe in love. That was one of the top things that I would always think because of. I was physically abused. I was sexually abused. I started a relationship and the my partner at the time would physically abuse me. Um, you know, he knocked me out unconscious. So I always thought that I was never going to be happy, I was never going to form a beautiful marriage, I was never going to live happily and I never thought that I can have a relationship with a man because of me being sexually abused and raped by a man. I never thought that. So I started actually having thoughts and liking women me being sexually abused and raped by a man. I never thought that. So I started actually having thoughts and liking women. So I thought that maybe a woman would treat me better, Maybe I can be, you know, a form of relationship with a woman, Even with being a woman. It was just a horrible experience.
Speaker 2:I wasn't happy and Nothing was making me happy. People like you. They try through many, many ways to be happy with men, women, drugs parties, they do all things. But you were saying that your mom found this church. How did she find us?
Speaker 3:She was actually watching a program and it was late at night and she just was flipping the channel and she came across the program of the Universal Church and there was a testimony speaking about exactly what she was going through and she actually said I want to go, I want to try, I want to see. You know what can happen in my life if she goes there. So she decided to go and she brought me along to go. But when that had happened, I was still not very convinced of going to the church, to the universal church, because I said I've heard so many things about God but I've never seen anything in my life and I never really thought about myself giving to God, because I said I don't see him, I can't see him, I can't physically see him or physically touch him. So how can I believe in something I don't see?
Speaker 2:Actually, your thoughts were very, very smart and in that moment you start to use your brain, and this is what God likes. You never knew God. You heard about God, but you were in suffering. You were in a horrible situation. You were inside of the pit and still falling, still going down. Where is God? This is what people have to do. They have to say where is God? But did your mom invite you to the church? You came by yourself. How did it happen?
Speaker 3:She actually did invite me. I did go with her, but the thing, bishop, is that I never took anything serious in the church. The shine of the world was still calling my attention and I went to church for a few times and then I left. And when I have left, my life just got worse. I started having suicidal thoughts. I started seeing things at nighttime. I would be afraid of the dark. So my life just got worse and worse. I would go through sleep paralysis, that I would sleep, wake up and I wouldn't be able to move my body. And I knew that there was something going wrong in my life. I wasn't right. There was something extremely bad in my life and I didn't know how to do it. And I remember that one night I had an overdose. I took a mixture of drugs.
Speaker 2:Marilyn, many people do not know what sleep paralysis is all about. Can you please describe it more for us? What used to happen during the night? Sleep paralysis?
Speaker 3:Yes, it was a horrible experience. I would remember that I would wake up in the middle of the night, really afraid, and I would open my eyes and I couldn't move my body. I would try to scream out for help and I couldn't have any words coming out of my mouth. I couldn't move my body. I would try to scream out for help and I couldn't have any words coming out of my mouth. I couldn't move my body. I felt as if someone was sitting on top of me, choking me. I felt many times that someone was sewing my mouth and I would try to scream out for help, but I couldn't scream out, I couldn't move my body, body. And it was a very scary experience because at that moment I didn't know what was going on. I didn't know and all I knew that that moment that I was going to die, something was going to happen, because no one was being able to hear me scream many people have these problems.
Speaker 2:They don't know how to find the solution, how to get rid of it. If you have this nightmare called sleep paralysis, you just completely shut down, you're paralyzed during the night. You want to speak, the voice does not come out. You want to move, your body does not move. You are awake but you cannot wake up. Well, you have a spiritual problem and this Friday, at every universal church, we are going to deal with this kind of problems. To set you free, to remove this evil that is upon your life. This Friday, at every universal church. 7-0-7-5. Southwest freeway. The church is between Bel Air and Hillcroft. This is what the church looks like. All are welcome, regardless of your church or religion, the color of your skin. The color of your skin, your background, your race, whether you are African-American, black, white, hispanic, asian. Come as you are, because we are going to do a special work to set you free. This Friday, you are going to understand more what is sleep paralysis and we are going to be back with Magdalene, and she has more to share with us.
Speaker 1:Sleep paralysis. You were just a child when you would wake up dead out of your sleep, your body would feel as if it was frozen and you would be totally unable to breathe. It all lasted for 20 seconds, but it felt as if it was forever. It was very scary. This finally stopped when you were in your teenage years, but now that you are an adult, you have realized that the same sleep paralysis experiences you had when you were a child came back, but this time it was worse. This time you were able to breathe but couldn't feel your body. For 30 minutes you were frozen, conscious of what was happening but unable to get out of this. Sleep paralysis has made you afraid of going to sleep.
Speaker 2:So this is what sleep paralysis is all about. If you suffer from it, you need to come to see us this Friday. Now, magdalene. How did your life transform? Who is Magdalene talking to us today? Lead?
Speaker 3:Your Life Transformed. Who is Magdalene talking to us today? I actually returned to the church after my experience because a lady had evangelized me back to return and I said you know, I have nothing to lose, let me try one more time and let me take things seriously. So I returned to the universal church and in the beginning I I was a little nervous. I was afraid because of what people were going to say about me uh, or judge me of the way that I looked, since I have tattoos all over. I had piercings all over. So I was very afraid that what they were going to say. But I was very, very wrong. I came to the church, to the service that day. No one judged me, everyone welcomed me very well and I started doing my chain of prayer. Do you know?
Speaker 2:why? The reason why we don't judge people, because we came from the same path. You don't see the tattoos the pastors, the assists, because they they are dressed formal, they have suits, dresses, assistants uniforms, but they have a lot of tattoos. They came just like you came and the the way you are watching us. You are Always come as you are, but tell me, what did God do in your life? How is your life now?
Speaker 3:My life now is different, very different, very complete. I did my chain of prayers, I was liberated, I received the Holy Spirit and daddy for me was a very marvelous day for me. I can remember as if it was yesterday. I never felt such love inside of me before in my life, a love that I've always wanted, a love that I've always searched for in so many wrong places. I had actually found in the universal church, because God had given me his spirit. I no longer have suicidal thoughts. I don't need to use drugs now to be happy. I don't need violence. I'm completely happy now. My life was transformed. I'm happily married with a man of God. Oh, you are. Yes, I am.
Speaker 2:I see the picture there of your wedding, your husband. How does your husband treat you, Magdalene?
Speaker 3:Amazing. He's very loving, respectful and, above all, he respects God. He honors God. So if he honors God, I know he was going to honor me and it's exactly like that. He respects me and treats me amazingly.
Speaker 2:What do you do nowadays for a living?
Speaker 3:I am a pastor's wife.
Speaker 2:So you save souls.
Speaker 3:I do. I save souls. Now I help those that actually are going through what I've been through, those that actually are going through what I've been through, and it's so amazing because I have encountered so many women that are experiencing what I've been through, that have been through Actually, I want you to leave a message for them Before this message.
Speaker 2:We are all reading this book, the Ministry of the Holy Spirit, and I have a paragraph here of this book that I want to read. The subject says A trust in God only used by those with the Holy Spirit. This is the subject I'm going to read now, which says One of the privileges of the Holy Spirit is having an assurance that nothing in this world can offer this assurance and I say this because the Holy Spirit not only provides us with a deep relationship with God, he also grants us confidence and a type of intimate assurance that God cares about the smallest details of those who are his. So, madeline, do you have this assurance? You?
Speaker 5:have this trust.
Speaker 3:I sure do Nothing in this world can take that assurance or trust away from me.
Speaker 2:Right. What would you say to the ladies watching us, right? What would you say to the ladies watching us? They have been molested, raped, abused, treated like a trash, nothing, garbage. They have been used as a prostitute. They have been injecting drugs in their bodies. They have grudges, they hate their parents, they they hate life. Magdalene, you have a word to tell them. You had this experience. Go ahead.
Speaker 3:You women that right now are watching this program and you think that there's no solution, you think that you don't deserve a beautiful life, happiness. Let me tell you that you do. There is a solution, and that solution is God. He can take that pain that you're feeling right now, that emptiness that you have inside of you, that anger that you think that no one is there for you, that no one loves you. God does, and God is giving you this moment, this opportunity right now, because it's no coincidence that you are watching this program right now. This is God telling you. I am here for you, so give him a chance, give him an opportunity. You have given so many other things opportunities drugs, men, so many other things you have given a chance to, but God is here now to give you a new life. So come join us and you're going to see the same way that God had transformed my life. He's going to transform you right.
Speaker 2:Thank you very much for your story. It inspired so many people. This is the naked truth. Thank you very much for your story. It inspired so many people. This is the naked truth. Thank you very much. God bless you.
Speaker 3:God bless you too, sir. Thank you.
Speaker 2:Bye-bye. So you see, my friend, there is a way out. All are welcome to the universal church, regardless of who you are. Yes, you are welcome. I have many text messages here. As soon as the program is over, you are going to receive the answer. If necessary, we are going to call you back. Prepare one glass of water, because before the end of our program, I am going to pray for you.
Speaker 6:It doesn't matter where you're from or what you did, if you're the top half or bottom half, if you have it all or nothing at all, if you're the hero or the villain, white or black, regardless of gender or orientation, with your own religion or lack thereof, with a dark past or not-so-bright future, if you feel loved or never felt loved, regardless of age or nationality. Here there is a place for everyone, for God does not show favoritism. Romans 2 11.
Speaker 2:The Universal Church, where all are more than welcome. We have now come to the end of our program, but before I go, I want to intercede for you. This is the moment of intercession. Let me intercede. Join me now in prayers, because through this prayer our God will hear our prayers our voice and bless your life.
Speaker 1:It's now the moment of prayer. Let us talk to God.
Speaker 4:Here I am In this moment of prayer, so despised, without need to talk with my law.
Speaker 2:Oh, my Lord, come quickly, help this person that is unloved, unwanted, nobody cares. She feels like Madeline, unwanted, a person that was born and raised in suffering. Now she came to her 30s, 40s, this man is in suffering, pain, not knowing, o Lord, what to do anymore. But I ask you, holy Spirit, for the change, for the transformation. I know that you can do it. So let the life of this person begin to change and I ask you, my Lord, that in this month you may do something great, amazing, powerful for this person. She cannot take it anymore. This person has reached the limit. Yes, she cannot do anything else.
Speaker 2:But I ask you, my Lord, transform this life water into wine. Come to give peace to this person, come to wipe away their tears, those who are in suffering, in pain, those whose life is broken. Lord Jesus, restore the life of this person. Set this person free from crack, cocaine, depression, all curses. Deliver this person once and for all. Blessings, deliver, disperse once and for all. Consacrate right now this cup of water that we may drink and receive your peace, peace inside of the soul, peace of mind, peace to keep on going. In the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Amen, praise God, drink right now.
Speaker 4:This water is blessed. My eyes to the hills. From whence cometh my help? My help cometh from the Lord, the Lord which made heaven and earth. He said he will not suffer thy foot, thy foot to be moved.
