Speaker 2:Broken Beyond Repair. The untold stories of those who were once broken.
Speaker 3:Once broken, but now they are repaired by the power of God. I want you to look today to the story of these three gentlemen that we have here today, bishop Davis, their untold story they are going to tell us right now, to reveal how deep they went down to the hole every single one of these men was in a very dangerous, difficult situation.
Speaker 4:They experienced evil in an extreme level and they made it out. But there are a lot of people who don't make it out.
Speaker 3:Yes, praise God, these ones you see on your screen right now. They made it out out of the hole. What I want you also to understand is that who are they Before they say their names? They are fathers, they are brothers, they are husbands, and once a person goes down, the whole family goes together. When a son goes down, the family goes together. A husband, the wife goes together. When he goes down, the family goes together. A husband, the wife goes together. When he goes down, the siblings, the whole family. It's like it's a domino effect.
Speaker 4:Yes, and a lot of people don't realize that they think you know, this is my life, I can do what I want. But your whole family is going to suffer along with you your children, your husband, your wife. The deeper you go into suffering, the more they're going to cry. Mothers will not be able to sleep. They're going to be crying at night. Fathers are going to be worried. Sometimes fathers are going out on the street looking for their children to try to bring them back home.
Speaker 3:And the evil spirit knows that when you hit one like we see the domino effect when you hit one, you hit them all, one by one, and this is what is happening in many people's family. Please stay tuned, because there were lost cases, they were involved in crimes or they were victims of crimes, but they are here to share it with us. You who say I am broken beyond repair, I am in this gang activity, I do crime. Drugs I have been to prison, or maybe you are in prison right now. Stay tuned. Drugs I have been to prison, or maybe you are in prison right now. Stay tuned, because their experience will also help you before anything.
Speaker 5:He created, inhabited earth. He was everything alone. He was god on his own. He was the king of the throne. It's not his creation that made him the greatest. You cannot get greater than ultimate greatness. It's out of his love that he chose to create us, created the heavens, and then he created the earth. He hadn't fashioned us yet. We was the part of the dirt. It was the blackest my skin. Before we continued with sin and the end of beginning, the enemy entered into the dimension Dev. Before we contended with sin and the end of beginning, the enemy entered into the dimension Devising. Division that led to dissension.
Speaker 5:The spirit of God inhabited the sky and hovering over us all. Then he said let there be light. And he switched on the light and he saw it was good for us all. Then he took all of the light he created and decided to surgically separate it. He called the brightness the day and the darkness the night. And today that's the right where he placed it. That's day one.
Speaker 5:On day two he continued the mission. His vision became clear. The world was water. Placed the expanse in the center, split the water down the middle, put water above the expanse. The water below the expanse he lifted. We call the expanse our reference to sky. Our God calls it the heavens.
Speaker 5:On day three he said separate water into heaven into one place. Water was ocean, dry was land and new turf was then named earth. Out of the earth came vegetation, all of the plants and seeds, and you know a tree by the fruit. It bears on good soil, so seeds. On day four he brought out the lights. He told them to shine in the sky. Separate all of the seasons, all of the years, separate day from the night. He hung in the sky. Separate all of the seasons, all of the years, separate day from the night. He hung up the sun and the moon, then plotted out all of the stars, everything we see. Distributed light was created for us on day four. But if you've been tracking the story, that's on me right, because he had said let there be light on day one. So what was the light? It wasn't no sun, it wasn't no moon and he hadn't plotted the stars. So what was the sources of light? If the sources of light were created, they for god. God is the source and they're just a reflection the sun, the moon, stars, reflections of him. He is the essence, he is the light, he is the life. He is the giver of blessings. He makes the visible possible out of the darkness into incandescence, home. Day five he brought the ocean alive, everything we see, that's women to the sea. He created and it multiplied. That big fish that's gone for all of Jonah when he tried to run from his calling them. Two fish that Jesus gon' whip up and join and feed over 5,000. All the fish the disciples gon' catch when they sit aside. They cast in their net that one fish that Peter gon' catch With the coin in his mouth to pay off their tax. Next on the list, he told the sky to fly Everything. We'll be right back.
Speaker 5:Day six God spoke to the earth. Generate more life in it. Listen, livestock, like the one sheep one in 99, gonna miss it. Crawling creatures like the locusts he gonna send a pharaoh yeah, I mean business and wildlife, like them, lions in the den with Daniel, but they couldn't kill it.
Speaker 5:Now let us make man in our image, creating him after our likeness. He speaking in plural, the trinity with him, the sun and the spirit beside him. Our heinous Created us with a purpose, part of his vision and ours. Represent, rule, reproduce. That's the mission. Represent God fully focused so that you can clearly see his image, rule on behalf of him Through trust. This his family business, reproduce God's presence as the premise. I'll endure it to the ending. Think it's finished. That's when he replenished and it's been his plan since the beginning. And then we were given the plants of the earth and fruit of the trees to eat. His self for that one, and you know what we done. Ironically, it was a sweet, and then he saw all that he made, and very good he perceived indeed. And then it was evening and was finally complete. The reason that he rested Cause everything he do destined. He rested for us as a motto that we should rest in him, work from next. That's the only plan we should follow.
Speaker 5:The seventh day is the Sabbath day, god said to decide as holy. Rest in him, cast all cares of the world, really get to know him and pray from your heart with devotion. Beg all that fit that you holding. Hold up that pain, that trauma, that drama. You gotta let go of it. He was deaf or what I'll ignore of it. Take hold of the spirit, let go of it. Gon' drown in them tears or swim in the living water that he pouring his porn in. Yeah, take you a sip and drink more of it and you got you some God, but get poor of him. You thinkin' about leavin', been thinkin' about you Since the genesis, like where we goin' no-transcript. The wages of sin is my debt, but my savior took wrath on behalf of my flesh. It's the right. In my Seven days I lost a leg to this man everything in life has a starting point.
Speaker 1:I'm over here on the ground. She's been shot in her side.
Speaker 3:Come in here. Police, come in here.
Speaker 2:Everything in life has a starting point.
Speaker 6:My mother and father divorced when I was around, I guess, 11, 13 years old, and we went from having everything to a neighborhood where there was nothing, nothing, nothing.
Speaker 2:No one is born wanting to be a drug dealer.
Speaker 7:I started being around a lot of trap houses and I began to see people sell drugs and I watched and I was like that's the way to get money or be an addict who eventually ends up in jail.
Speaker 8:At 22, when I went inside the jail and I was facing a sentence of 25 years in prison and I was an addict or be a person who makes wrong decisions and turns their life upside down.
Speaker 7:I've been raped kidnapped, strangled, choked to death. I barely almost choked to death In this addiction.
Speaker 6:I still went for the drugs. I started off stealing cars. I knew it wasn't right, but it was a way to make money. My mother wasn't home. I could get away with it. Nobody knew and it went from stealing cars to selling drugs, to just being out in the streets and my life transformed before I knew it.
Speaker 8:I started making small robberies in the stores and I started getting involved in criminal activities with the gang. And my life was like that always getting into shootouts, fights.
Speaker 7:I had no fear. Once I felt the power of the money, the guns came in play. I began to get a hold of the guns and exchange for drugs.
Speaker 2:If your family and friends have rejected you.
Speaker 8:My family rejected me. They didn't accept me anymore because they said that I was a lost case.
Speaker 2:Or you were tired of being seen as a criminal.
Speaker 6:I didn't want prison, no more. I didn't want people to look at me as a criminal. I didn't want people to say, oh, you can't trust that guy. That guy robbed you, that guy steal from you that guy, do whatever. It started out weighing and I didn't trust that guy. That guy robbed you, that guy steal from you that guy, do whatever. It started outweighing and I didn't want that life.
Speaker 2:And you can no longer bear the shame.
Speaker 7:I sat on the floor. I just had to go under my head. Three seven. I couldn't. I couldn't bear that. I just wanted to die.
Speaker 2:Today, on Broken Beyond Repair, we will show you extraordinary stories of people who are called dangerous and today have transformed after allowing god to act in their lives yes, you just saw these people that had this life of crime.
Speaker 3:but you, you know, bishop, when we show here the video, the pre-recorded testimony, somebody may say, no, it's some female. They are actors, right, but what about these ones here?
Speaker 4:Yeah, these guys are here to talk about their experiences live, no editing, just raw.
Speaker 3:And they have the mic and they are free to say, to tell whatever they want to say. The pictures you see on your screen are the pictures of the testimonies, people that were dangerous. They had this life of crime. They were very dangerous for the society, to families, to their own relatives. They are all transformed now, however, we brought here live these three gentlemen that also had this kind of life. We have here Saladin. Hi, saladin, how are you?
Speaker 1:How you doing, Bishop.
Speaker 3:Good, we have also Lupe you can grab the mic. How are you Good Bishop? In your case, lupe? You can grab the mic. How are you, good Bishop? In your case Lupe? You are not on crime, but your family who were victims of criminals.
Speaker 9:Yes, Bishop.
Speaker 3:Okay, in a few he's going to tell us his story, and also, mr Billy, the mic is yours.
Speaker 10:Hello.
Speaker 3:Bishop. Mr Billy, let me start by saying that you are not supposed to be alive.
Speaker 10:No, sir, not by any means. I was a drug dealer and I lived amongst bullets all day long, all day long, all day long, all day long. It's a game that.
Speaker 3:So when I say that you are not supposed to be alive, I'm not exaggerating.
Speaker 10:No, I've been in many shootouts where we don't know how we made it. We made it out. You know what I'm saying? I didn't know that.
Speaker 3:God was even working in my life, and you also survived in prison.
Speaker 10:In prison as well, Because in prison any day now, you don't know, Somebody can shank you. You don't know how it goes Once it goes down. You don't know how it's going to turn out.
Speaker 3:How many years in prison?
Speaker 10:Five, five years five years and you were a drug dealer. How was life in prison? It was rough, it was rough, but you know, you learn, just like the streets, you learn how to move around in there. I mean, I was. I was still selling drugs when I was in prison. Really, yeah, I sold drugs while I was in prison, so I learned how to move around. I learned how to get the things I need, like I did in the streets. I learned to survive.
Speaker 3:So Priza did not change you.
Speaker 10:No matter of fact, it's like a corporation of drug dealers. We get together, change things that we can get, where we can get the drugs from, make connections, guns, whatever. It's a big conglomerate.
Speaker 3:Right, and coming out of Pri prison, a drug dealer went to prison for drugs. In prison he was selling drugs, he was trafficking, he was doing all kinds of corruption. Coming out of prison, was there any change?
Speaker 10:When I first got out. Yeah, I decided to change. When I was in prison and when I got out, friends of mine came to me with money and guns and drugs and said they needed me. And I said I'm not going to do it anymore. And I got a job and I just kept working.
Speaker 3:What did God do in your life, Mr Billy?
Speaker 10:Well, you know what I'm saying. It took a while. God was talking to me, but I wasn't listening to him. So one day I came to church and I began to listen, and one of the bishops made me a challenge. He said to me if your life doesn't change in six months, then leave the church.
Speaker 3:So it was Bishop David, a challenge, and this is what we do in the Universal Church. Yes, we do not sugarcoat, we do not. I mean, please, anybody we challenge, whether you like it or not. When you come to the Universal Church, come prepared to this faith. We are not giving you words that you like. We are not going to say what you like, but what you need.
Speaker 4:The Word of God is real, it works, it brings results. If you do your part, it is impossible for God not to do His part, and so we challenge you to do your part, to trust in Him, because we know that, no matter what your problem is, it's going to be solved, because God has that power.
Speaker 3:And there is a point that he said here God was talking to him but he was not listening to God very well. In a few we are going to see the transformation he just told us, the broke side of his life, but we have also Lupe.
Speaker 4:So so, lupe, you had been involved in alcohol and nightclubs for many years, but when you started to straighten out your life, you came to the church and you actually were raised up as an assistant, so you were helping other people. And a couple of weeks after that, what happened?
Speaker 9:Yes, Bishop. Literally. Four weeks later, my father was murdered in his backyard due to a robbery.
Speaker 4:So your dad was in the backyard and people came to do what.
Speaker 9:To rob him. His car or his house no, they had actually followed him from a gas station, and the moment he got to his house, they approached him and pulled out guns, pulled out guns and shot him and he died immediately. Yes, yes, he took two, two shots to the chest.
Speaker 4:So it's like what we're saying. You know, there's a domino effect when someone in the family suffers. In this case, it was a gang, it was some robbers that killed your own father, so that had an effect on you. So how did you deal with that?
Speaker 9:It was hard, because at first I I mean, the first thought that came to mind was look, you just got raised an assistant and look, look, looks, look, what's going on in your life. Look what just happened, and it could have made you angry at god.
Speaker 4:Exactly exactly that thought was there could have made you go backwards in your faith.
Speaker 9:Yes, exactly that thought was really there to give up on it, give up on everything. Look, you've changed your life. Now you're an assistant and this happens. Yes, the thought was there to just give up on God.
Speaker 4:What good is it? You know, I changed my life and now this happens Exactly.
Speaker 9:But at the same time, the strength of God was there to overcome the situation and to move forward and make me stronger. Yes, it was an emotional moment in my life and I still just thinking about it. I mean, it's emotional.
Speaker 3:So we are talking about X-Con? Yes, he was a criminal and his family, his father, was murdered by the robbers. Yes, let me talk now to Saladin Saladin.
Speaker 1:That was also involved in gangs yes, I was involved in gangs, you know. Hang out in the streets and sold drugs too you sold drugs.
Speaker 3:Yes, okay, your own addiction. What was your own addiction?
Speaker 1:Me. I was addicted to alcohol. I used to drink every day. That was my addiction to alcohol.
Speaker 3:Drink every day.
Speaker 1:Yes, sir.
Speaker 3:We see the pictures of your past, if anybody has any doubts.
Speaker 1:So you are always on the streets selling drugs yes, sir any problem with the law yeah, well, I never did no time, but I've been arrested 20 times probably yeah, so you are pretty young.
Speaker 3:So when you start doing drugs or drink, how old were you?
Speaker 1:Oh, the first time I smoked weed I was probably like 12 years old. I remember I was in the seventh grade 12 years old, 12 years old. Oh wow, I was in the seventh grade.
Speaker 3:Seventh grade started doing drugs yes, and selling.
Speaker 1:Yes, selling drugs. Probably about 15,. I started selling marijuana as I got older and moved on to um different things, as crack. You know stuff like that right um salad.
Speaker 3:What was the uh lowest point of your life?
Speaker 1:well, the lowest point of my life is um one time a guy stood over me um with a gun tried to kill me. Um he shot the first shot, um the gun had jammed and that's what really saved me. Um the gun jam. I got up. And's what really saved me. Um the gun jam. I got up and I ran and I got up out of there.
Speaker 3:My life was on the line at that time okay, so we are talking about three different story, but uh, uh, you see that the evil one worked in the same way to kill, to steal and to destroy. So how did god repair your life?
Speaker 1:well, um, god has um. You know he's changed my life. I'm more happier now. You know um um I just my life is different. You know I sleep better. That's one thing you know. Before I couldn't sleep. I sleep better, so it's changed my life a lot so what about drugs, gang gang activities, alcohol? I no longer take part of that. Um um I have. Last drink I had was last December. Um, no more gang activity. I stopped all of that. No more drinking, smoking, nothing.
Speaker 3:Do you miss all those stuff?
Speaker 1:Not at all. I went trade where I'm at? No, not at all. I went trade where I'm at today for nothing in the world.
Speaker 3:You don't uh look over your shoulders when you walk on the streets.
Speaker 1:Not at all, no more.
Speaker 3:So you are completely free.
Speaker 1:Completely free.
Speaker 3:Saladin. There is this gentleman or this young man, 12, 16 years old, like you, or a teenager doing drugs, selling drugs. What do you say?
Speaker 1:What is your final word to this person? Well, I tell y'all, I know you guys want to come out of these gangs. You know because I was there, so I know there's a way for you to come out. It's to come to God and God. I promise God will help you. If you make the first steps towards him, he will help you.
Speaker 4:So, lupe, what happened? Your dad was shot, some guys were robbing him, and he was shot, died, and that was a shock to you.
Speaker 9:How did you react? Yes, bishop, it was a real shock to me Just at the moment. Emotions were running high and and thoughts of giving up. But the only way is looking towards god, seeking god, the presence of god, and I don't. I can tell you what. All my, all my certainty, I don't have no hatred against these people that committed this crime.
Speaker 4:So you kept on going, you remained firm, you didn't give up. What would you say? Look in the camera and talk to these people who have experienced something like this. They've gone through a tragedy there was some crime committed against a family member, a family member died or went through an overdose, and they feel depressed and empty. What's your message?
Speaker 9:Bishop, just like what you just said right now, this stage of my life that happened. I have actually helped several people by speaking with them, because it is hard, but the only way that you can overcome that situation is placing it in God's hands and surrendering your life in God's hands, because he's the only one that can give you the strength to overcome the situation that you might be going through.
Speaker 3:Well, we see here, bishop David, the importance of receiving the Holy Spirit. Yes, because in that moment, if you did not have the Holy Spirit, you would go into depression. Some people want to die, they want to go after the killers, they want to do something crazy. Yes, but the strength Lupe is talking about, I believe, came from the Holy Spirit.
Speaker 9:Yes, bishop, it came from the Holy Spirit. Actually, months later they caught the guys, they had their court and I stood face to face with them. You did.
Speaker 3:Yes, I did, Bishop. How did you react?
Speaker 4:Bishop, I'm you talked to them about faith right.
Speaker 9:I sure did.
Speaker 4:You told them to give their life to God.
Speaker 9:I actually told them I forgive you, you, but what? You did was wrong.
Speaker 3:You had to pay for your for your actions but while you're in jail, you looked at the one who killed your daddy and you said I forgive you.
Speaker 9:I sure did, bishop. Before you go into the court, they make you write what you are planning to say. Oh yeah, I did not know that. They did not believe what I wanted to say. The authorities.
Speaker 3:When you wrote there you want to say I forgive you, they did not believe.
Speaker 9:No, they did not, because I was brief with my message. First thing was I forgive you for what you've done, but you have to surrender your life to God. You have to find God to fill that emptiness that you have inside of yourself.
Speaker 3:Well, we see clearly the work of the Holy Spirit. You know, there are people for minor things they don't forgive right. For minor things they don't forgive Right. There are people that say I'm not going to forgive, I'm going to take it to the grave. But when a person receives the Holy Spirit, this strength to forgive and forget comes from Him.
Speaker 4:That's right and you start to see people as lost souls, not as your enemy, but as someone who needs help and who can change.
Speaker 3:and that's an amazing that's why it is written. If anyone does not have the spirit of Christ, that's the spirit of Jesus, it says he is not his. You, you can name yourself a Christian, a born again Christian, asher deacon, reverend pastor, bishop, but if you do not have the spirit of Christ, you are not his.
Speaker 4:You can't, you can't have his nature, you're not going to act like him. You're not going to act like him, you're not going to talk like him.
Speaker 3:You have to have god's nature in order to to have this different type of behavior and you, once you receive the holy spirit, you have this strength to sacrifice grudges and to forgive, like he did. Mr Billy, what's the transformation? What has God done in your life?
Speaker 10:Well, first of all, I accepted the challenge that the bishop gave me and I did everything he told me to do, and then it gave me an opportunity to be part of the UBB, and the UBB is where I, an ex-con, go into the prison system and talk to cons and help them when they come out. We have our aftercare program, so it gives me an opportunity to give back to people who are just like me.
Speaker 3:Right, I want to talk about relapsing, because people like you they come out of prison. People like Saladin were drugs activities. When they come out on they stop. They stop for a while, like people go to their rehabs there they stay for a program six months, one year so, and then they relapse. What about you? How many years have you been in this church? Did you ever go back?
Speaker 10:no, I've been in this church for 13 years and I've never went back never, never, not one time, not once good, uh, that camera is going to be yours.
Speaker 3:What is your message for the drug dealers watching us?
Speaker 10:the message for the drug dealers prostititutes anybody from the streets. All hustlers, come and hustle with me at the Universal Church, hustlin'.
Speaker 8:Souls, be a soul winner 7075 Southwest Freeway.
Speaker 10:I'll be here waiting for you.
Speaker 3:They can come to join all your team. It is now a team of faith, a team of faith, faith hustler. Thank you very much. God bless you. Gentlemen, thank you for your participation. We are going to pray right now. The words they gave to you, the examples, the testimonies they are no longer broken. They were repaired by God's power. All that I say to you. You now grab your cup of water. Let us together talk to god prayer is our communication with god.
Speaker 2:You watch the testimonies, you heard the word, but now please close your eyes and prepare for the moment of prayer.
Speaker 4:In life we have so much pain.
Speaker 3:Know everything is a blue sky Against the pain in your life. There is only one. Let us pray, o God of the Bible, in the name of Jesus, I thank you. I thank you, my Lord, for the lives of these gentlemen. They were in a terrible situation. Some of them were supposed to be dead, but you had a plan. You had a plan, oh Lord, jesus Christ, you gave them a new chance, a new life. And here they are. Lord, there is dispersal out there, this young man, like Saladin on drugs, lost in life. There is dispersal, who lost a family member, just like Luke lost his father. Lord, there is this drug dealer praying with me. This is the only way he knows how to make easy money, lord, jesus, but I ask you, lord, send your power, your mighty power, to restore people's lives.
Speaker 3:The aim of this program, of this network, is to save souls. Lord, touch souls right now. Touch lives. Let this person rise high and above. Take this person out of this dark hole. Transform their lives. O Lord, those who are decided to change, give to this person strength to come to us tomorrow when they step their foot inside of the universal church. Oh yes, their lives will never be the same, never again. We bless and consecrate this water in the name of the Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit. Amen, praise God Together. Now we drink this water. It is blessed. God bless them. He blesses you over there. Oh, oh, oh, oh oh, oh, oh.
Speaker 8:Down the Via.
Speaker 5:Dolorosa In Jerusalem that day.
Speaker 6:The soldiers tried to clear the narrow street.
Speaker 8:But the crowd pressed in to see the man condemned to die on the river.
Speaker 3:He died for you, he died for me, he died for us and he is the one that can take all your pain. God heard our prayers and I will continue here, can take all your pain. God heard our prayers and I will continue here praying for all of you. That was one more episode of Broken Beyond Repair. God did repair their lives and he can do the same in yours.
