Speaker 2:Hello, dear friends, may the God of the Bible bless your life. A new beginning, a new day, a new life. Good evening, good afternoon, have yourself a wonderful night. It depends on the time that you are listening to the show. I am here to bring to you life and this life. You find here in this world, the word of God that is able to transform your life. There are many words that we hear in this world, many words. When we wake up in the morning, there come the words From the family you go to school. From the teachers you go to work, from co-workers, supervisors, boss news on the TV, on the radio. There are many words, but this word, the word of God, always prevails.
Speaker 2:I bring to you this show, a show of less talk and more power, and I want to bring to you this word that is Psalm 55. Listening to me, it says cast your burden on the Lord. Cast your burden on the Lord, he will sustain you. Why? Because he is strong. He is stronger. Look over here, listen to me. He is stronger than your problem. Go ahead, cast your burden on the Lord Because he will hold you, he will sustain you, and you know what he shall not permit, as it is written, he shall not permit the righteous the righteous is someone that lives by faith to be moved or to be shaped. You shall not be moved because the Lord shall bless your life.
Speaker 4:When people ask how do you describe your life, the first thought that comes to your mind is broken. Growing up in a family that is divided and is fighting each other all the time is one of the reasons why your life feels so broken, like there is a traveling curse that was living in your family, but now it's living in your personal life. Financial success is all that you want for yourself, but even that seems impossible. And there you are again, feeling helpless and broken. You will find out how to remove these burdens from your life and put your life back together.
Speaker 2:Broken life. This is how you describe yourself, or this is how people identify you. Yes, they identify you as a broken life Because your life is just like this Relationship, marriage, family, love life. Everything is broken and because of this broken life life you are always stressed out, you are always crying. You have this load upon your shoulders. Cast your burden upon the Lord. You have been casting your burden upon somebody else that will not be able to help you. Cast your burden upon the Lord. This is what joy. Joy that had no joy. Of course, joy had no joy because she had a lot of problems upon her shoulders. When you see these people testifying here in the church, when you see these people with a beautiful smile, they had a burden upon them. Joy had no joy. You are going to watch her story and you are going to learn what to do, how to do to break free from this broken life.
Speaker 5:That ultimately led to her taking her own life.
Speaker 4:There's where she first admitted to a counselor to having thoughts of suicide.
Speaker 1:And she said, mom, I'm tired of trying.
Speaker 5:I remember being in a patient's room watching this documentary about this woman who just gave birth and two weeks later committed suicide, and I was so broken and I was like how can a mother, you know, commit suicide? You know, I just had two babies and the joy that comes with it. I woke up one morning. I asked my husband what day is today? What am I doing here? And he's like Jo, you've been sleeping since yesterday and it's 12 noon and I did not know. That was the beginning of me going down the hill. I woke up 12 noon feeling tired. I probably bathe around 1 pm and as soon as I finish bathing I go back to sleep and I will cry because my husband will be the only one who's going to take care of the kid, he's going to cook for them. And I say Lord, my faith is going down. I don't know what I'm believing.
Speaker 5:At the time we were going to a church that was nearby our home and I told my sister, I told my husband sorry. I said I'm going to go with my girl today. I went out with her and I carry my baby boy in the back and I get in the church. I said I need to talk to the pastor and she asked me if we were members of the church. I say no. She said, well, only pastor sees members here. And I cried. I said, but I need to talk to somebody. She said, well, I'm going to see. Well, here's the number. You have to call the line and you get through it. They will schedule you with the pastor if they are available. I left, I went by the pond and I looked to the sky and I said what if I'm about to commit suicide right now? I said, lord, you told my dad, wherever I go, find the church. And today a church can't help me. Where are you? Who's going to help me? Is this how you want my story to end? Is this what you have written in the book that suicide is going to take me? One of my brother-in-law said you know what I'm going to call one of our aunties to come and help you at home.
Speaker 5:And this beautiful woman of God came all the way from Sierra Leone and she was part of Universal Church. She fixed my hair, she could braid and we went to the Universal Church and I got there and I had so many experiences of what I called pastor's injury and I was like I can't afford another pastor injury, and this is too true to be true. The pastor welcomed me as a soul. I didn't have to say hi, pastor, I'm so-and-so from this church, you know, and I'm at this level of this church, you know, they just saw me as a person.
Speaker 5:So I'm fighting to get to church now because I'm not missing a day. They will show us testimonies on the TV and the pastor is like I need you all to have your testimony. I say, god, you heard that I need my testimony on that TV because that will show that you gave victory over depression. So I'm fighting to get to church now because I'm not missing a day anymore, because I know I need the Psalm 20 that says you will find help in the sanctuary. That became that. I know there's help for me in your house, lord. I know my dad always say wherever you go, find a church, I know you're in this house, I know that and I know you can help our family.
Speaker 5:I say, honey, have you been looking at the houses? He's like no, you know, know, I'm not doing this anymore. I said let's look and I'm like wait, let me take my glasses off. Maybe I'm like the prices are going down, but we didn't have a deposit. He's like joy, let's just give up. I said now the next thing we know my husband get a call from the agent and say that the agent is putting the deposit for us on this house and that deposit was taking place by the time the bank come through Thursday night. The tax came through, hacks came through. I've been healed, I've been set free and now I'm about to live in a house with no deposit, with everything on time.
Speaker 5:I just start crying there and they're like why are you crying? I was like these are tears of joy, but what I learned here at the University Church the peace of the Holy Spirit, you know that confirmation, that solid confirmation inside of me. Every day that I come here, I say Lord, that's all I'm seeking. Count your blessing one by one, when you can make breakfast for your children and now they're all screaming Mom, I want pancake. And you are at the kitchen making pancake, you count it as a blessing.
Speaker 5:The pastor is like I need you all to have your testimony. I say God, you heard that I need my testimony on that TV because that will show that you gave victory over depression. So here I am today, praising, testifying, with this hunger inside of me of like I'm like. I need to tell my testimony, I need to share. There's a woman out there with postpartum depression, that woman, whose testimony I saw on the radio, on the TV, in the hospital. Hers was death. Mine is the victory in Jesus. So I have to tell it, so that other women who may be going to postpartum depression know that Jesus is a heal going to postpartum depression, know that Jesus is a healer of postpartum depression.
Speaker 2:In the same way. This family is now transformed. Now joy is overjoyed, joy and her family, because she did cast her burden on the Lord. Cast your burden on the Lord. He shall sustain you because he is stronger than your burden. Maybe, if you cast your burden upon me, I will not be able to hold it. I'm just a human like you. But once you cast your burden on the Lord, he shall sustain you. He shall hold you and transform your life. This Sunday, at every universal church, we are going to be there praying to break the yoke. We are going to have the anointing that breaks over here the yoke. There is a yoke upon your shoulders and once we anoint you, the yoke shall is a yoke upon your shoulders and once we anoint you, the yoke shall be broken.
Speaker 6:This sunday, at every universal church, when you pray with a sincere heart to god, he will answer you, regardless of the pain or distress you are experiencing. Bring it to him. He alone can solve your problems. Give your burdens to the Lord in this moment of prayer place your hand right up on mine.
Speaker 2:Let us pray together, done In the name of Jesus Christ. O Lord, o God of the Bible, right now we cast upon you the burdens Disposer that has a burden that is heavy, a burden of diseases, unemployment, misery, broken home. Disposer that is depressed, oppressed. There is a disease upon her body. But I am praying to you, oh Father, god, rescue Disp person right now. Help this person that is broken, help this person whose life is miserable. My Lord, jesus Christ, I ask you to lift this person. We cast the burden upon you because we know you can take it and we can sustain us.
Speaker 2:There is a person in the hospital right now. There is a person in the hospital that lost everything, everyone. There is a person in the hospital that is sick. Once again, one more surgery, these bodies being cut piece by piece. Lord Jesus Christ, help this person, set this person free those who are in prison, in jail. My Lord, I pray for the lost sheep, for the lost son. Like the prodigal son, dispenser doesn't go to church anymore. Dispenser is unchurched Lord. For some reason they left the church. For some reason they left the church. For some reason they left the fold, and now this person is lost, wandering around in this world, lord, but I ask you, rescue, bring back the lost sheep. Give to this person, give the hope this person needs, strength to come back. Lord, this person that is near or far, strength her legs, his legs. Give courage to come back to you. Remove all embarrassment, shame and bring this person back to the fold. In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. In Jesus' name, amen, praise God.
Speaker 3:When my worries and my fears Become more than I can take, when the heavens become silent and I cannot find my way, when a storm arises and the sea will not be still, when the hours feel like days and I don't know what to do. These are times when I can't seem to understand what is your plan, but I choose to trust my life into your hands, in you, to you. I trust in you.
Speaker 3:When you're worried and afraid. I am there, right next to you, and I want you to know that I feel your pain too. Never, ever forget that I'm the one who calms the sea and I know the right time to give you the victory. Yet these times are necessary for your faith to be mature. But right after that, a blessing's there for you. I'll take care of you, I'll take care of you, I'll take care of you. Just remain in me. My joy now receive the plans I have prepared for you Are greater than what you can see, trust and obey for I am true. And see how I'll take care of you. I'll take care of you. I'll take care of you. I'll take care of you. Just remain in me.
Speaker 2:My joy now receive. Well, dear friends, thank you very much for listening to me. Go ahead and tell a friend of yours about us. We have much, much more for you. May the God of the Bible bless you. Have yourself a good one.
